Our soul will live forever. It puts thoughts in the mind and the mind act them out. Our soul is the Leader of what we do. If our soul is of God it tells the mind what to do....If the soul is evil he tells the mind to do evil things and the mind tells the body to do evil......
We don't fight against blood and flesh but against principalities and powers of darkness.

It Works the Other Way Around.

Your Soul is your Second Mind. Almost has a Life of it's own.
Think AI (Artifical Intelligence! ;)

You (The First Mind, you are a Spirit) are Suppose to Ascend Above your Soul (meaning that You are In-Charge, instead of your Soul and Body (where the brain is---the soul and brain work as a Team).
Your Suppose to Controll your Soul which then Allows you to Controll your Body.
See?

I think the soul is self enlightened. Its nature is to BE only, and not to work or function and produce any command. It is like a blossomed rose, Its being is complete. To control anything is not the nature of soul.

But mind is intelligent. It knows the superiority of soul very well. How to submit to the soul, and how it enriches itself( the mind ) only by this submission, mind knows very well.

We can say, mind is controlled by the soul, mind sees itself apart from soul, but all that seems alive is gift of soul only.

Good question, indeed Sir, as usual. :)

Keep smiling.

The conscious which is within the soul controls the mind.

Not completely by our self. We are to by constant practice try to control our mind to think of God then He does the rest. The main part is always think of God and He is the ultimate controller. Those who think they can control the mind on their own are fooling themselves and not surrendered souls. Arjuna in the Gita tell lord Krishna. That the mind is more difficult to control than the wind.

Our soul or our pure consciousness can guide our mind in the right direction but our physical senses distract our mind from taking the right path as directed by our soul. If we can only control our senses we can reign our mind. Soul is eternal and is absolute truth and would appreciate such humans who can control their minds in their physical forms because such soul would return faster to its source.

It may be the other way round. The mind acts over the whole body. With good and not-good acts of the body. . Thus the Soul carries the imprints of the deeds and acts. When presented for Accountability...Judgment... it gets its dues accordingly. Then it rejoices or suffers along with the body, which is reconstructed on resurrection.

Yes, in fact that is the only way to control your mind.

We have senses which are attached to external gross and subtle material objects. Senses are governed by mind, and mind is governed by intelligence, and intelligence is governed by Soul.

Note : We can place our ego at any level i.e. object, senses, mind, intelligence or Soul. If we place our ego at object level, we will not be able to control our mind. But if we place our ego at Soul level, we can control the intelligence, mind, senses and objects.

Soul is your personal thing, but unless it is activated by the mind and heart, it remains in a dormant state. Soul is at our mercy ie we the human body.

That is the reason it is said that one should make best use of this human body.

our mind is the balance between the soul and the flesh... in nature it would produce a balance ... where the needs of nature would be considered, but the flesh and the life you have would come first... religions interfere with that natural process... imposing on humans an internal unnatural fear... depression, anxiety, learning disorders, and physical problems are the result of centuries of spiritual abuse by the religions... the worse of first of these is the catholics the worse of these is christianity...
