If you have a full stomach and suddenly have a strong nervous reaction to something, you might blow chow due to a (literally) twitchy stomach. A spasm of the stomach will make you call Ralph right then and there. If you already had a spastic esophagus (a well-known disorder of the GI tract), that would only make it worse.

When you get nervous, you might trigger an adrenaline rush, which has pretty bad effects on your digestion. I think this happened to me only once, when I was a kid. Hasn't happened since. And I don't recall what triggered it. But it probably only happens to the average person if you eat way too much just before you get nervous.

You have to look for possible causes of this reaction. It is possible that it is a holdover from our evolution in which if we had a full gut and a predator started chasing us, we needed to lighten the load fast. Adrenaline rush and one good twitchy stomach and suddenly we're a couple of pounds lighter. Not to mention the distraction factor on the predator.

i know that your stomach is one of the first parts of your body to react to emotion, but not sure why you would puke. i guess like other things that make you puke it could be too much of something, in that case anxiety
