would you go for it?

Would you want to have more brain cells? Especially because of pollution and toxins that kill the brain cells we need to obtain an education?

what must be taken into consideration is that the brain is in-fact very "plastic". It can change, and grow depending on practice of certain activities, or focus on certain activities. For instance - noticeable increase in activity in the auditory association area of the brain of a person who has recently lost their ability to see is not uncommon. Such a person has lost the ability to see, and thus depends more on his/her other senses. Because the brain is putting these areas to use more than it was before, these areas become more active, and more proficient. They essentially grow.

We do not need more brain cells - we simply need to learn to make use of all of the ones we already have.

There is no need for the average person to grow or develop more brains cells. Cellular death occurs daily. The only people who might benefit are those that are brain damaged due to lack of oxygen. That is not a possibility at this time.
