My 1st was in the 4th grade. I had talked to my mom about it and she took me shopping. I thought that it was going to be a huge pain going with her but it wasn't. You are going to want a basic training bra.

I went from flat to D cups really quickly when I was 12. The worst part was my older brothers making fun of me. So dont worry too much about it. If you arent that big in size yet a training bra is probably best. Remember the numbers refer to the inches around your body and the letter refers to the cup size. So have your mom, sister, or aunt assist you (or do it yourself) to measure around your body under your breasts. Then go to the store and try a couple on until you find the right fit. Remember its best to leave a bra on the first hook, as all bras will stretch with time. You really shouldnt need an underwire, so just go for comfortable, and then cute. :)
Good luck!

I got mine at your age. If you have little lumps already try an A cup or a training bra. My first was a training/sports bra. Your bra comes down to two factors, what your chest measurement and what your bust measurement. The chest measurement is the most important. The second factor is if it is comfortable on. The distance just below your breasts is going to be your size (ex; 32 inches around, 32A, 32AA, 32B, etc.) The cup size is how much your bust measurement is(the distance aroung your chest at the biggest point) verses the chest measurement. Good luck and congratulations!

the one thing I noticed when I finally got it together with my actual bra size was to make sure it fits right, the back of the bra must stay in the middle of your back no matter how much you move around. If it starts to ride up as you move, it is to small or big for you. I would suggest trying one out and while your standing there, do some jumping around and moving your back a lot, if the bra doesn't move up, then it is the perfect fit.

Also, don't be imberresed to ask someone in a bra store to measure you, that's what they are there for (but it must be a bra store, becuase if it's not, they won't be to nice to help you.)

Goodluck sweety :)

have you mother take you to be measure for your first bra. Don't worry they saleswoman will measure you over your clothes. Then try a few on to see which one fits best. Or you can take a tape measure and measure the area around you and over your nipples to get a basic size. Just put How to measure for a bra size in your search ending and you should find a step by step explanation for measuring yourself.

For me I was 9 years old when I got my first one. I got it that Christmas in my stocking. I remember my brothers all laughing and trying to put it on. At the time I was upset but today it is a funny memory that we often talk about when spending time together.

Depends on your size. There are cute triangle training bras that stretch as you grow. Sports bra or racer back/T-bras are good. If you are already developing you can have a person at the store help you pick out a bra. Ask a woman in your family to help you.

I got mine when I was in 4th grade, sorta embarrassing because no one else had one. Some sizes that will probably fit you would be A's are AA's. You should probably start out with a bra with no underwire, because those can be a little uncomfortable at first. Good luck!

The number is your chest measurement in inches (get someone to help you measure, it's not easy to do it yourself!)

The letter tells you how big your breasts are compared to your general body size. If you're only just thinking about a bra because you feel you need one now, probably A. If you want one because all your friends have one, but actually you don't have anything to put in it yet, probably AA or maybe AAA.

Well here's a book recomendation:

It's all about the kinds of stuff you'll be going through and it shows you how to measure for a bra.

My 12 year old daughter got her first in 4th grade. She got her pirod around that time too.

Me on the other hand got my pirod in 5th grade, bra in 5th too.

Everyone grows differently, don't worry.
