We are not bothered about religion, it's a private matter here. In the recent federal election, the religious persuasion of the candidates was never a matter for discussion, we don't care what you believe in as long as you do the job.

For that matter, we are not too bothered about who our politicians are having sex with as long as it doesn't interfere with their job. In Australia, Bill Clinton would not have needed to explain anything.

We don't carry guns, most of us don't own a gun and there are strict rules about gun ownership.

We don't execute criminals. The last time we did that was in 1967 and capital punishment has been abolished never to return.

We have television programs and radio stations without commercials on the publicly owned broadcasting network.

We play cricket, australian football, rugby (two codes), netball and lawn bowls as well as sports you would be more familiar with.

We enjoy life; have an excellent education system; a medical system that provides doctors and hospitals for everyone no matter what their income is; and a safety net for the unemployed and disadvantaged.

Superficially, not much. We eat similar food. We wear similar clothes. We listen to similar music, and watch similar TV and movies.

At another level there is a big difference. We are not as obedient and will resist authority if we think it is silly. We are not nearly as religious. We do not share the mindless patriotism and reverence for authority figures.

college existence has no longer something to do with college, except you're procuring one hundred% of your college the sole undertaking you'll be doing as nicely interpreting, eating, and drowsing on my own is worshiping who ever invested their difficult earned funds into your practise.
