What do you do when you are on the john and you have a large one brewing and someone comes into the bathrooom, do you just let it erupt or do you wait and try to hold it in until that individual leaves??

It's a bathroom. They knew the possible dangers when they entered. Erupt away.

I am presuming you are referring to when you are using a public restroom with multiple "stalls."
In such a case, you ready yourself at the flush and when the ... "big one" erupts, you flush long and hard. If you are particularly a shy person, you then politely wait and wait and wait until the other person who "experienced" your "eruption" is done with their business, leaves, and then you can complete yours, emerge, WASH YOUR HANDS, and leave.

Let it erupt. If the other person doesn't like it, they can leave. That's what the room is for. Besides, when you do, you often find yourself alone in there anyway.

Well, I tend to think that women are more than likely to try and hold it in until they're alone, but I'm assured that men just go for it- that it's something to be quietly proud about, especially if it's really smelly. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
