To alter your dreams, you have to alter the spiritual energy arround you and within you. One can be careful who you relate to, in order to change the energy arround you. Meditation can be used to overcome negative emotions within yourself. Sit or lie down, focus on breathing deeply in and out, Tense your stomach muscles when you breath in, and relax them when you breath out. Focus on that which makes you uneasy about the dreams your having, or other emotions that give you trouble. Exercise, and healthy eating will also help. Life is a struggle, and one has to take on this challenge, and become strong and effective in this world. Nothing is gained if one does not work hard at it. Strong characters are made from overcoming many obstacles. Dreams can be obstacles within oneself.

I'm utmost serious when I say if it were possible to alter your dreams, I would alter some of mine!
I guess one way to reduce bad dreams is to not think about the person or circumstance while you're awake if you can truly avoid it and don't have to think about it.
Often times, what we think about during the day, if we think about it often enough, sooner or later, it will be in our dreams, though not necessarily the same way as reality.
During the day, when you can, find distracting things to do.
For me, excellent sources of distraction is being on here, praying, emailing, doing things that require perfect concentration.
Here's one suggestion: For a couple moments here and there, put both your hands up in the air, touched together. Take one foot, and put it next to the opposite knee, on the inner side. It requires sooo much concentration, you won't be able to think about anything else. Stay in that stance as long as you can, but don't lean against anything.
You can also write him a letter! Pour ALL your feelings on the paper, and when you're done, do not give it to him. Either rip it up into pieces and trash it, or staple it to a helium balloon, and watch it go as far in the sky until it's out of sight, just feeling the stress leaving you. Or you can burn the letter outside. Or put it in the shredder. Or keep it, but keep it completely out of sight. (If you got some private place to lock it up, lock it up at a SAFE at home.)

If you find yourself thinking about him while in bed,then when you fall asleep,chances are you will dream about him. People usually associate their dreams,with whatever's on their mind at bedtime.
