I know cooties is a diease but what exactly is it and what can it do? Any NICE people willing o answer please do but if you are going to make fun of me and laugh don't waste my or our time.

i don't have cooties I just saw on a youtube video about how all thee kids are getting cooties. Like 2 million a year.

Good question. I always thought it was a generic term kids used for any bacteria, virus, or any other catching disease.

i haven't heard it called cooties in a long time. go to your local drug store and buy some ridex. shampoo hair with it and use the enclosed comb to remove any eggs that may be present. wash all bed clothing and worn clothing in hot water. bag pillows or ? stuffed animals in plastic bags for a week. this should help. "cooties" are highly contagious. good luck

The usual term is "head lice". They can be transmitted, from one person to another by sharing of a comb, or headscarf. There are certain shampoos which will eliminate them.
