Lee surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia, the Army of Tennessee surrendered in South Carolina about 2 weeks later and the Indian Confederation which fought for the South was about 2 weeks after that, they were the last of the Confederate armies to surrender, There actually was not one Confederate Army as each state had its own; Northern Virgina had the largest followed by Tennessee and most of the rest with the exception of Waite's Army wee either very small or took place in little r no fighting. Texas actually sent most of it's troops to Lee and some to Tennessee and put them under those commands.
