Im traveling with my husband from texas to california next month were driving, were gonna take the I-40 & I-281, but i dont wanna go thru the hassle of so many checkpoints. The less the better!!! thanks yall

There's only one checkpoint along I-40 in California. All they check for is fruit, since you aren't supposed to bring fruits or veggies into California. It's just past Needles, and it's usually closed when I drive past.

Are you driving a commercial truck? Those are the only checkpoints you have to worry about in Texas. They are about every 20-50 miles on the interstate.

If you aren't trying to "hide" something the checkpoints shouldn't bother you.

Check points for WHAT???? They only check for fruit being brought into CAlifornia.
