My stepdaughter has been living with her mother now for 3 years, without anyone else but her other two children in the home. CPS has taken the children once, and they were returned to her because they were all three molested by their fosrter parent. Now the judge will not allow them to be removed aain. It seems that the worse the situation, the more steadfast the judge is about not removing the kids. When we went to court this morning it was to support the worker in trying to get them removed. i had to have my stepduaghter's hair cut and treated for lice last time she was here, becuz they were all over her body. She had a cut on the bottom of her foot, and it didn't look like her mom had trid to treat it at all. She said she stepped on a can lid. I have had to go get her at 3 a.m. because her mother's bf went nuts and ripped out a handful of the girls hair a well as beating on her other two children and breaking the eldests nose.

When the kids were in foster care she never did a single thing that the judge asked her to and she was even technically homeless when they were returned to her. I don't want to risk my own children by going head to head with the judge and CPS. But I am worried about these kids. She allows them to be abused ans they have been sexually abused as well under her care as well as in the foster home. I worry the most about my stepdaughter because out of the three she is the yongest and although it sounds dramatic, I worry that she will die if she remain in her mother's custody.

The judge is mostly likely a paedophile also. The decision needs to be appealed and complained about.
Stand up and yell until someone hears you about this little girl. It's disgusting the things that are legally allowed to happen to children now.
I'm sorry I have no better advice for you. Good luck.

hey, this judge wasn't cheryl b. moss in the clark county nevada family courts was it??? similar situation out there only it was the father that the mother kept trying to keep from being around the kids....one of the kids ended up killing himself while in dad's home for visitation.....picked up dad's gun that was lying on the table next to the coke he was getting ready to sell and was playing with it....shot himself in the face and died instantly. judge moss was reprimanded and left on the bench presiding over custody cases!!!!

i'm so sorry to hear that your family is dealing with this. i wish you the best of luck. any chance your attorney might get the case moved to another court??? a different judge might actually do something to protect the kids.

speaking up about the abuse of children shouldn't put your other children in any danger from csp. at most, they may come to your house to evaluate your living situation, but, from what you've described, it doesn't sound as though they would have any reason to take away the children that live with you. those children are unable to speak for themselves and, at this point in their lives, must depend on other adults to do it for them. there may be other options than foster care that can be suggested to the judge or the court considering what happened when they were placed in foster care the first time.

Are you documenting and backing up your claims with reciepts, times all this stuff happend, witnesses other than your husband, you, and the kids? Do you have pictures of the condition the kids are in? Journal everything and haul it down to the court. There should be a child advocates office somewhere in that building. This is what they are there for......either that or CALL ONE OF THOSE CRAZY INVESTIGATIVE REPORTERS!!! Ahhhhhhhhh the scandal!!

You may have to act a complete IDIOT......but you need to DEMAND AN EMERGENCY HEARING AND ANOTHER JUDGE.

Please, for the sake of the children, do something quickly.
And please tell him he's a **$R#_ for being such a stupid idiot, these people need a wake up call. Maybe try showing him the results of the violence that have been afflicted on the kids?
Good luck with this, it won't be easy!
