All I can say, is the grass is not always greener on the other side. Even though you may get 2 dollars more and hour, you may have to put up with a lot more crap.

I wouldn't quit your current job until you fully check this new job out. Maybe you can ask the new job is there anyway you could try the position out either during the week after your working hours or on weekends to see if you are a fit. You can mention at that time how necessary it is to give your current employer a two week notice. I tried this and found out the new job was a big lie. A company that has a large turnover is a troubled company. The turnover could be due to bad management and a boss no one can digest. Wish you the best of luck.

If you don't particularly like your current job, that is sufficient reason to change. At a better/bigger company the opportunities for advancement are likely more. The extra money is icing on the cake and the ten minutes are going to be hard to notice and you can listen to music or lectures ( to improve yourself ) during that time. You could even spend the time thinking.

I'd take the extra $2 an hour and the extra 10 minute drive.
