According to New York TImes Magagzine (and Hardball), Mike Huckabee recently asked this question. Where did he get that idea?

Yes, we believe we are all brothers and sisters.

Poor Huckabee! Gets hammered for simply asking the question. And then, come to find out, it's true! Funny how the "official responses" from Mormon apologists don't deny the Jesus/devil connection, but rather obliquely state vague Mormon doctrine. Huckabee owes no one an apology, how absurd! The Romney campaign is going to inadvertently expose the silliness of Mormonism as nothing has in recent decades. Mormonism is no more "Christian" than Islam or Hinduism. The only similarities are the terms themselves which the Mormon church has completely redefined.

I just want to point out that Jesus is the firstborn. That's a title. Firstborns have special rights in Bible times. Like inheritance rights for example. Firstborns become kings. Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It is NOT saying that God created Jesus. ALL things were created by Jesus. Colossians 1:15-18 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. (16) For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. (17) He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (18) And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. Do you see it? Jesus is the firstborn, BECAUSE he created ALL things and that means He has SUPREMACY. Note also verse 18. He is also considered the firstborn, because of the resurrection: 1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. Back to Colossians though. Jesus created all things including all angels. How could Jesus create his own spirit brother? He cannot! Wait a minute - I thought God created all things. Jesus must be God then. Perhaps that explains the "us" in Genesis 1:26. Hmmm. 3 persons. One God. Sounds familiar.

Mormons believe that we are all the "spiritual offspring" of a God, our Heavenly Father.
See Acts 17:28-29 "For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. "

Accordingly, we have all come to earth for a purpose, to live by faith, to keep our Heavenly Father's commandments, and to return to his presence one day.

That makes us all spiritual brothers and sisters. However, Satan, the devil, Lucifer, fell from Heaven, lost that chance to come to earth with the rest of us. He became the devil and now wants to thwart that plan of God for us.

But to say he is our brother, and the brother of Christ is a misrepresentation of this doctrine. He is not our brother in that sense, He lost his estate there in heaven, was cast out, and became the devil. See Isaiah 14:12

So technically while we are all the spiritual offspring of God, Satan blew it and became the devil.

The Mormons are an agnostic cult, they (Joseph Smith) rewrote the bible to fit their our political position in the 1800's...they the Mormons do not believe that Jesus Christ is one of the God head equal to Elohim Jashua El Shaddai (which means Jesus God Almighty) is God .

John in the Gospel verse one states In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, the Word was God...Hmmm then in verse 13 14 John continues that the Word became flesh and dwelt umong us. Furthermore in John 8:58 Jesus stated before Abraham was "I AM" that statement by Jesus clearly stated he was God research this in Greek and Hebrew and you'll understand...

And Yes Romneys beliefs are important to many voters...

Christians believe we are all spirit children of god. Fact!
Jesus is supposedly the elder brother. Lucifer, was a son of god as well. He rebelled, out of jealousy.
So if, we are all children of god, that makes Jesus, and Lucifer our brothers, as well.
And that, my dear Watson, is what makes Jesus and Lucifer, brothers.
Children of god, spiritual brothers, and sisters, and that makes, god, your heavenly Father.
What makes that such a strange statement?
And Mike Huckabee is repeating what Mitt Romney said, as that is what the LDS do, believe.
But, Mitt Romney, never compared himself to Jesus, at 'The Sermon on the Mount'', ., like Mike Huckabee did, last week, saying something about feeding the multitudes?
That is as dumb as Bush, saying that ''god talks to him'' about Iraq.

Mormons believe that God the Father created all things, so He created both Jesus (God the Son), Lucifer (Satan), and all mankind. Jesus and Lucifer are "brothers" in the sense that God the Father created both of them. It doesn't imply any special affinity or friendship between Jesus and Lucifer. Obviously, they are on opposite sides of the whole good/evil divide.

We believe that Jesus is our elder brother. And until the War in Heaven when 1/3 of the hosts of heaven were banished...that 1/3 were our brothers and sisters as well. Now, well, they have been disowned, especially since the strive to condemn us to a worse fate than their already sorry existence.

Many posters have the identity of Jesus all wrong. Jesus IS God the Father made Flesh. He is NOT a mere "son of God" or a "brother" to us. He is our GOD.
Mormonism is a sick heresy.
There is only ONE Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.

No, he was the best looking Angel in Heaven and was employed by God. Then he invented a lot of stuff , which God took credit for them. That pissed Belcebu off and complained to God. Then God proceeded to fired him, with no severance package, and since there were no discrimination, harassment or wrong termination, laws, Satan couldn't sue him, not even hiring that scumbag Johnny Chrotchman, (I know, it's misspelled on purpose), or Gloria Alred.
