what you need to be saved is to confess to god that you need a savior, that you are imperfect, and that you recognize that jesus being god as man, came to earth to substitute your death for his, and that he raised himself from the dead so that you might be brought back to god. it's harder to admit than one might think, but that is all that's required.
as for the other things, god understands. thomas (the disciple) doubted christ's resurrection until he saw with his own eyes. but you are saved if you admit the prayer and believe in your salvation. god will work with you on the rest of the things, like absolute conviction. life's a process and so is a relationship with god. people aren't made strong christians overnight. it takes time. just read the bible, study it, and take time to meditate with god. ask jesus to strengthen your faith, convictions, knowledge and love for him. believe me, he wants nothing more than to do those good things for you.

It is written that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of the sin of not believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.
Is the second part of the question; Is a person saved if they didn't believe in their heart Jesus raised from the dead? The answer is no.
You need to confess with your heart Jesus Christ is your Lord and believe in your heart Jesus raised from the dead & you will be saved (receive eternal life).
When a sinner realizes that God Is and their life is a mess. They need to come as they are. Admitting to God they were wrong about God. Come as they are. They need to repent of not believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Livng God. Not all their sins. No one knows all their sins. They just know they made too many to count.
Jesus is the Chosen One. When we receive Jesus in our life, then we are chosen with Him.
Once one is saved they are born spiritually. Then they are a child of God & dressed in Christ Righeousness. Nothing they do or won't do will change that. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit who assures us we are Gods Children & we can come boldly before the Throne of Grace in time of need.
But we will sin again & the Holy Spirit will convict us in our new born spirit. Where we confess our sin & He (Jesus) is faithful & just to forgive us our sin & cleanse us from all unrighteous. We should confess when the Holy Spirit convicts us of something. And God brings Gods Word to mind to wash us clean. The Truth overcomes the deception that is at the root of the sin.
Praying in anguish all the time doesn't save us. Only receiving Gods atonement for our sins.
Once you are born again, you are Gods Child.

Absolute conviction is the blessing of very few. Making a conscious decision to accept Christ and trying to live the life He intended for you is the true definition of being born again. If you are in anguish, please realize that God's desire for you is to be joyful and human sorrow is what He sent Christ to relieve.

If you have accepted Christ and all these people say you are saved quit worrying about it you know they wouldn`t bull sh*t you about something like that. Just go on living your life until you die then don`t sleep to sound down there after you are buried because you want to be sure to wake up and kind of pull your self together and maybe sponge a little stink off your self just before it is time to ease on up to heaven.

You can be saved and not "understand it all" or have it "all figured out."
One good example is when Jesus came down from the mountain (after the transfiguration) and the man had a son afflicted with a demon that caused him to seize. The disciples were unable to drive out this particular demon and the man consulted Jesus. Jesus told him that he must believe and the man replied, "I believe. Help my unbelief." Jesus then healed his son. I think this clearly shows that God is looking for willingness, not for us to have it all figured out, for us to trust Him.
You spoke of full and absolute conviction. This was what Thomas had once he placed his hand in Jesus' side and felt the place where the spear had been and where the nails had been driven into his wrists. Jesus said, "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe." I think that if we had it all figured out we would not need God and that we could no longer call it "faith" but it would be something more like "cold hard fact" (which my "faith" is to me in a wonderful twist)
Realizing your need for God - understanding it all or not - is what leads to salvation.
Please continue your pursuit, for the Bible does promise:
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:12
"He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6

A person Will have doubts! This is the tool of Satan to make us take a second thought of our salvation. You are saved and when these doubts come to you say "out loud if you want' No, I am a new person through Christ. Loved and chosen to be a son/daughter of God. Destined for greatness.
Read your bible and begin to defeat these doubts with truth.

hard to say, but as you know, god works in mysterious ways. did you just witness a freaky supernatural even or what some could be considered a miracle? when we find physical proof and try to prove god wrong, we are the fools. sure, people may find the ingrediant that really started life, but who made it i wonder. we see stuff, look at its history, but then the history comes to a DEAD end. where did it all start? god put things on our earth not to give reasons not to beleive in him, but to test our faith in our lord.

If you cant get out of the confines of your own space whats the point.

No. If he exists everyone is saved. He won't punish anyone for using the brain he gave them.
