Not sure if this can be done using software like Gimp. It can be done using software like Photoshop. I recommend you visit a forum for Gimp software to check if it can be done with it. If not, you may need to use a different image editor possibly even opting for a commercial product like Photoshop or Photopaint to be able to make that watermark.
