Humans are "similar" to apes in the same way parrots are "similar" to birds.
Parrots are a type of bird. Humans are a type of ape.
Don't you mean between humans and OTHER apes specifically great apes (hominids)?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hominid
A chimpanzee's closest living non chimp relative is not a gorilla or an orangutan, it's a human.
The web of life is wonderful. As humans, apes, primates, mammals, chordates, animals, we are all part of it. Pretending to be something above it all is vain and stupid.

I want to correct some of the misconceptions here... Evolution has never claimed we evolved or descended from the great apes, but instead that we share a common ancestor. 5 million years ago there was a lifeform (now extinct) that separated and went different ways. Some of them became humans and others became chimps. Gorillas and others branched off earlier. That is why there are still apes today. And the idea that matter comes from non-matter has absolutely nothing to do with evolution - which is the study of how life changes over time. And creationists have no real argument against this. They have a couple that they tout but these have all been easily defeated time and time again, yet they still use the same dead arguments. It's largely due to psychological phenomenon such as cognitive dissonance that they are able to ignore reality and carry on with their fallacies. There is yet no convincing argument against our primate features or vestigial organs such as our appendix (which other primates use to digest cellulose and plants but stopped working for us), tailbone (some children still being born with tails), our third eyelids, and so on.

"Believing their own eyes"
I have never seen evolution in my entire life. Why? Because the process of this theory is TOO SLOW. NOBODY has ever seen evolution, and THAT is why it is still a THEORY. Yes, the Bible said God made everything. There are many MANY countless unknown species that are alive today, and THEN count in the ones that we don't know about that are extinct. So evidently, God made ALL types of animals. So naturaly they look the same (but different).
There are hundreds if not thousands of logical explanations as to why people and apes are similar. Evolution is just one of them. As much as you seem to the the believers in Genesis ignorant, crazy, or stupid, you have also just jumped the bandwagon into believing Evolution. Not to pass judgement, but you seem as if you've never even questioned the possibility of other logical theories.

There are similarities between a camp fire and a star, though they are not the same. All naturally occurring things are related. We are, after all, made from star dust.
Genesis is not disproved by evolution. It gives the correct "order of appearance" in language and metaphor which would have to be understood by people living 5000-6000 years ago.

People have seen evolution...people who breed dogs and horses, that grow corn and other plants. They breed them for particular characteristics just as evolution works through natural selection. Evolution is only as slow as the generations of the species in question. Overtime, however, we can see that it has happened and we have the fossil and genetic evidence that it has happened.

Could be. But then why do some people resemble bull dogs more than apes? And others look like rats more than bull dogs? And others look like chipmunks more than rats? Is it because God cloned humans from Himself and multiple animal species and not just apes, monkeys and chimps?

if human are the evolution of ape .. then where is the "ape-human/caveman" exist ? even when ape going to evolve to human , it must have process , right ? then when the process going , where is the species of ape going to evlove to human ? is the caveman where the whole body is fur ? or oyu say the caveman already extinct ? so for this case, i believe human is not come from ape.

how could you not see the VAST DIFFERENCES between apes and men?
We have skyscapers, cars, shopping centres, arts, literature, thought, philosophy, logic, emotions, morals, weapons, science, books, history, love, compassion, technology, higher studies institutions, the desire to find God(most of the world is religious), etc etc.
CAN YOU SEE THEM NOW?

People only say we're not apes because they're determined to disbelieve it, regardless of the scientific evidence, and the evidence of their own eyes. It's a bit like a child putting his hands over his ears, scrunching up his eyes and saying "La la la not listening, not listening!" :-)

Strangely, the closer people are to apes intellectually, the smaller the chance that they'll recognise their kinship.
