Then he had to rest for a whole day afterwards. Couldn't he have created everything with just a wink of an eye, in a fraction of a second?

But if he's truly "all-powerful" he could have created everything in an instant with all the care and thought he wanted. But why did he have to rest? Does god get winded?

To those asking what I can do in 6 days: I can push a can across a table within 6 days, but I guarantee that if anyone asks god to do so, that can will be in the same exact spot a week later.

permit's say God created the international in six, 24-hour days. Why do you assume He exchange into working finished-tilt for the duration of that factor? it style of feels somewhat stupid to think of that a Being with the flexibility to create a international, might * require * a undeniable quantity of time to end it. immediately, at some point, six days .... what's the version? If the international exchange into, certainly, created by potential of a Being, does no longer one nonetheless arrive on the top that they've been very effectual? possibly the author, being a creative style, took some poetic license and paused for result. As somebody already mentioned, your questions * do * lack an psychological factor.

Look dear...THis is a metaphysical issue in the first place. Our earthly logical thinking is not the only means through which we can understand everything arround us. Therefore, God mentioned to us some information that we can understand. There are manythings which we can never understand coz we are simply imperfect beings. Always keep his in mind whenever you think of such matters and remember that on earth 1+1=2. But metaphysically, the situation is different. Ok?

Certainly an all powerful God could do that. But that doesn't mean he did or might not have had reasons for taking six days. Perhaps he thought it would be cool to give people on the internet something to talk about. Or perhaps it's all a metaphorical story.

God is God and He can basically do whatever He wishes.
I believe that God took 6 days to create everything and He rested on the 7th day as an example for us to follow.

Every designer needs to take a break and look and see what they created.....Maybe he's not finished with this place and he's on break, just waiting a while to see what else needs to change.
Maybe another tidlel wave or earth quake, or fires, or famine, or desease to wipe out off the people who are not worthly of living here.
Let's just wait and see....What happens next!

It took 6 creative time periods, not earth days.
It took a long time because he still obeys laws.

days may not be days at all, but years, maybe millions of years, who knows. Or perhaps it took six days for things to materialize, instead of God just popping it into existence
