This prayer is part of Joel Osteen weekly sermons.
Just say "Lord Jesus I repent of my sins. I ask you to come into my heart. I make you my Lord and Savior".
And friends if you prayed that simple prayer, we believe you got born again. Get into a good bible based church. Keep God first place in your life. He will take you to places you never even dreamed of.."
Joel has a several sermons a week on television. Try to tune into one if you can. That is a good place to start in my opinion.
He is a good man speading a good message.

It's so strange to see how a simple question like this has to receive so many vulgar and sarcastic answers.
If you want to become a "reborn" Christian, you must rededicate your life to Christ. Confess your sin, turn away frmo it... and turn towards Jesus with complete trust.. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Ask God if you can feel his Holy Spirit, maybe get others to pray with/for you and let God change you from the inside out. The rest is a process. You are not reborn through faith, being reborn is something in the spirit that makes you into a completely different person from the inside out, and only the Holy Spirit can do that.

When Jesus said that a person must be born again, he was referring to a change from the inside out. Outward forms of religion cannot take the place of the transformation that occurs when you reach out to God and ask him to make you a new creation. When God created humankind he created them in his image. Because of the disobedience to God that the first people committed, sin and death entered the world. When a person is born again they are recreated in God's image.
This does not mean you will never sin again or lead a perfect, problem free life. It means that you will get a chance to start over with a clean slate, knowing that you are forgiven. All that is required is faith in Jesus as the Son of God and acceptance of his salvation. Most people simply say a little prayer asking God to come into their life. By admitting that you need God and his forgiveness and that you believe, you can be born again.

Ask Jesus into your heart and connect to his very essence. You know when you feel him. It's is awesome!
Ask for forgiveness for your sins and try to do things that are good in the eyes of the Father. It's fulfilling to make God happy and you connect to him better. Simple things like quitting cursing can go a long way.
Have faith and believe. - Watch the Gospel of John on YouTube. It's a great movie. Jesus is very real in that movie and it's biblically correct.
Talk to him always.
Read the new testament in the King James Version bible to learn more about Jesus and his word.

Belief is the first step. Confess to God that you are a sinner in need of a Savior. Repent of your sin ( quit willful sin) , and accept the gift of pardon purchased by the blood of Jesus. Read the Bible and pray every day. Seek out a fellowship (church) where they preach right out of the Bible. Reject all your former lifestyles that do conform to Christ's example and his sermon on the mountain. Seek God with all your heart. The Holy Spirit of God will enter into your heart and guide and comfort you. Stand by for affliction, persecution and tribulation. All true Christians will get a belly full of these. He that endures to the end the same shall be saved. Rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is your reward in heaven. Well that's about it in a nutshell . We Christians are praying for you to make it all the way to heaven. Go for it sister, Jesus loves you!

You have to believe with all your heart that Jesus is Lord and Christ. Being sorry won't save your, and neither does good deeds, but by God's great mercy Christ chose you since before laying the foundation of the earth. If you can confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and Christ, then the Spirit is in you and you are saved. Nothing can take Christ's love from you.

In the words of Henry Miller, "Throw that dam Cross in the River!" That may sound a bit harsh, but sometimes religion , or that state of mind of being Religious is the most destructive force in the world. How many people have gone to their own afterlife at the end of a rope, bullet, knife, gas, fires and all the other ways that religiously devoted men have killed other men out of a sick and twisted sense of Religion?
Millions is the answer. So if your religion is unmerciful, destructive, blood thirsty or passionately mad with vengeance, or somewhere close to that with millions or even one innocent person, then throw it in the river, any river.
