I think they're generally good but they let the crazies act as their mouth piece and for some reason don't care that the crazies are being real jerks.

I don't think there is much difference between Christians and any other demographic with such an artificial grouping. Why not group together people who bowl, or can whistle?

Christians love, hate, proselytize, respect, admonish, show compassion, fury, regret, and humility as often as any other group. They are subject to rationality or superstition at about the same levels of any other such grouping.

Grouping people by religious affiliation (if not belief) does, however, show a good cross section of people, of all nations, colors, and languages.

I think you were REALLY asking what do we think of Christianity itself. But since you did not ask that, I will not answer that.

Most people I know are Christians, and I whether I feel love or dislike for them, it is certainly for reasons other than their religion.

They're misguided...

It's one thing to believe in the "ethical/behavioral" teachings of The New Testament, which is primarily saying...

"Be as loving a person as you can be to all people and all life itself...compassion, love, mercy, forgiveness, generosity, helpful, encouraging, non-violent, nurturing, etc..."

It's quite "another thing" to believe these concepts were not invented by human beings long before Jesus lived (which there's no "real" proof he ever did...even the dead sea scrolls were dated a hundred or more years after when he supposedly lived...and they didn't have New York Times Reporters or Court Stenographers following the guy around and reporting on his every word and move...at best...it was word of mouth gossip and rumors...record keeping that would last more than a decade or two was virtually non-existent back then, and we all know how "Elvis" has almost become a "God" in our own age...along with Martin Luther King, Mother Theresa, and most recently Oprah Winfrey...and none of them raised the dead unless they've used CPR...

And we all know how "legends" and "myths" grow around the actions of extraordinary people...good and bad...

So...to believe in stuff like "immaculate conception" and walking on water and other "magical" feats, is to be extremely gullible about human nature and the laws of physics and the proven living planetary process of evolution...

There's no doubt that the story of Jesus is very moving...it is, indeed, one of the most moving stories ever circulated among our human population, and it's easy to see why people would very much want to believe it's true...

But the "supernatural" claims mentioned in the New Testament are NOT true...

So...most Christians hearts are in the right place, but...

Their gullibility and lack of common sense and intelligence and higher education are definitely questionable...

But they are people, too...so we must pat them on their gullible little heads and love them and tolerate them, for there is no other alternative...

I honestly try to respect everyone's spiritual beliefs and where they are in their journey. Although, since I'm being honest, I have to say that the more time I spend in this category in Y! Answers, the more turned off I am by the limited views many of the Christians on this site have. Sorry, you asked.

i am a Muslim but i do not hate Christians. i think they are in the wrong religion but i have christian friends and i know how hard it is for someone to change the only thing they had complete faith in there whole life. i think they are very nice for the most part . there are some bad apples but there are bad Muslims too. there are also people who claim to be Muslim but really show no sign of following it.same with Christians.

From a Christian point of view, I think that very many of them are poor representatives of Christ. Most would simply stone the girl taken in adultly. I think if more Christians would act like Jesus, there would be more Christians.

I dont have a problem with christians who keep their religion to themselves. I consider christians like Pat Robertson and James Dobson to be domestic terrorists

Honestly, I think most Christians are really annoying. Because most of the ones I know are hypocrites and self righteous.

I really couldn't say. I don't know them all.

I can say that the religion they follow makes me think they are primitive thinkers but that is about as generalized as I'm willing to get.

I just moved down from NYC to Hilton Head Island and I am running into a lot of these people. Holy crap but they don't think for themselves AT ALL. Everything comes from the religion aspect. NOW I truly understand why there needs to be separation of Church and State as its almost cult like following. They really turn me against their religion with never considering ANYONE else's opinions AT ALL lmao. Freaks......................
