I think I came to that conclusion about a month after answering questions in the R&S section. And BOY do they love to thumbs DOWN any religious viewpoints and thumbs UP anything that is anti-religion.... and they accuse religious people of doing the same thing!
According to statistics, fully 90% of the WORLD's population have a belief in God, god(s), or some supreme being(s). That means that the estimated total number of atheists is 660,000,000. I swear all 660,000,000 of them are on YA's R&S!

and that conclusion is drawn from what data? Is it possible that neocon christians are actually represented here in a manner similar to that in the "real world"? Maybe 90 % of the evangelicals have joined this site. They certainly have the orginazation for it, as opposed to the atheists or non-Christians

I've come to same conclusion, it seems like they don't have anything better to do then to say negative things about us Christian's. But it makes me feel good because the bible says we will be laughed at and made fun of and be hated because of our faith and that means that were doing what were supposed to be doing.

I've come to the conclusion that 100% of Atheists think that no one actually makes soup but rather it makes itself out of randomly arranged bits of other food particles.

I'm not sure that's very scientific,but it sure seems like there's a million on here.Ha. Judging by the inordinate number of "thumbs up" that answers sympathetic towards atheists receive,I would certainly say there is a high number of God-deniers lurking about.

Im not an Atheists ...I just have an extreme dislike for organized religion

I know four other atheists in my real life. None of them visit this site. So, my independent study suggests that 20% of all atheists have joined this site.

Depends on the proportion of Atheists in the population. Let's be extremely conservative and say that a measley 10% of U.S. citizens are atheist.
10% x 300,000,000 x 90% = Twenty-seven million Atheists. (woops, had to edit that a bit.)
I find it hard to believe, personally.

Based on quite a few of the answers here, I would say that about 70% of them are the ones without a sense of humor.
