Where does the Bible say that Satan "almost" made Jesus sin? The Bible says that the Lord rebuked Satan! You are either confused or you are deliberately trying to mislead others who are too lazy to open a Bible! In any case, I suggest you read the Bible. It should clear up any misunderstanding you have! You will be "roasting" solo dude!
Count me out of your "marshmellow" roast!

I would say, the human part of Jesus was tempted, but the divine did not take him up on it. Temptation is not sin. Temptation is not an act that the person being tempted does, it is done by the temptor. So any person can be tempted, but it is in the refusal by Jesus that we find strength because it shows us the true path is away from temptation, not to give in to it.
I know you were picking on Christians, but I thought it was funny and still a valid question.

You shouldn't take heaven and hell lightly. If you die and you realize it's all true, it's not going to be a party down there. You have your information wrong because Satan tempted Jesus, but never once in the bible did it say that Jesus almost sinned. The reason that God made sure to include that part is to understand that our Savior has been through the same temptations as us, yet never sinned. Isn't it nice to know that we have a Savior who can speak on our behalf because He's been there and done that? So, we'd have to think the next time we tell God that "He doesn't understand..." because He does. A great book to read, true story... "23 minutes in Hell"

You are incorrect in your assumption that he almost made Jesus sin. He didn't. He tried to tempt Jesus but was unsuccessful. To hear something tempting and allow it to enter your conscious thought for decision is not the same as almost sinning. Temptation is not sin - but can lead to it when dwelled upon.
I would submit that this same event should inspire us all to study and know our Bible more. After all, if quoting Scripture was the weapon Jesus chose to use to rebuke Satan it should be a major focus for us.
For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword . . . .

Satan didn't almost make Jesus sin. Satan tried, but Jesus was never about to sin. Jesus replied to the Devil by using Scripture references and then the Devil fled. The Bible uses this as an example to show us what to do when Satan temps us- read and memorize the Bible and use it to help you know what to do in tough situations.

Hi, I am a Christian. I am not insulted, though :), and I would like to take a chance and reply to your question. As a Christian, I believe in the Bible, which states "Through Jesus Christ all things are possible." which basically means "On my own, a lot of things are difficult or impossible, but through faith [believing] I can do anything. [to a reasonable extent of course]."
-Ylanne
P.S. As an afterthought, I agree with everyone else here that we all sin [make mistakes/do wrong things], but it doesn't mean we're doomed forever. We're all human, and none of us is perfect. Jesus was/is wholly God and wholly human at the SAME time.

Actually Satan did not 'almost' make Jesus sin. The only power he (Satan) has is to make you take a second thought, or doubt your truth.
Fear is another way he makes us take a second thought and then action to not do something we know we should.
Thoughts of doubt and fear of failure. Many ways in which the 'devil' can keep us from achieving our full potential!
If this sounds like a self help book talking, yes it is.
The original self help book, the book of life, the Bible.

Satan tempted Him but Christ never came close to falling for the bait. Best get your act in gear and spend your eternity in heaven not hell. You can joke about it now but just remember once you die it is too late, then comes the judgment. The question will be "what did you do with my Son "? you will only be able to say I rejected Him or you would not be there.

Being TEMPTED is not a sin. FALLING FOR the temptation is a sin. Only ONE sin will send you to hell...refusing to trust Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Biblical ignorance is a sad thing to see folks make known about their self.

I know! It seems impossible to be perfect doesn't it? It's a good thing we were made in the image of God and not to be JUST like God.
God can read your heart. If you make a bad decision....he doesn't wonder why you did it. He knows why you did it.
This question, thank goodness, doesn't give God the credit he deserves. He doesn't have a checklist and mark your sins off one by one. This is God, your creator, we are talking about here. Not Santa Claus!
But I do see your concern. Make fun of us all you want to. Paul, one of the most dedicated Christians of all, made fun of and actually killed Christians for over half of his life. God showed him that he could be loved and forgiven.
That's what's so beautiful about our Lord, he forgives. He knows you're human and are going to sin...but he loves you anyway. It's truly amazing.
