Richard, belief and worship have separate meanings. You do realize that?

WOW, I worship myself? Wonder when that happens? With all the working 40 hours or more a week and being an active single mom for my remaining waking hours. Geez, I can't remember the last time I sat down and worshiped myself. Then again, I don't believe anything is supernatural... including myself.... so, the point is moot. Although... I could wrap my head around being divine, in the "supremely good" way.... not the "deity" kind of way. I'll work on that one! *heehee*
Such ignorance is saddening.

To the contrary, it is difficult for me to understand why anyone would worship SOMEthing, ANYthing...why base your whole existence on the premise that you are a lesser being than something that you've only heard about and which no one has ever seen?

Retarded answers. Just because you aren't religious doesn't mean you worship yourself.
How about mothers who live for their children. Men through history who have died for their countries. Pretty much any example where people work toward a community goal.

It's not hard to imagine, I see it everywhere, people are constantly complaining about anything in public that is remotely connected to God. I see it in this forum all the time while the same old questions get tossed around, the battle is never ending. I really don't understand why everyone has to fight about it all the time. I'm not going to turn you into believer any more than you're going to turn me into a non-believer. It's a battle no one is going to win.

Apparently, it is due to an incredibly skewed definition of worship (trying to use broad, all inclusive definitions for worship, faith, theory and belief in order to put everyone on the same ground, and make themselves look less insane).

Religion often blinds people to others beliefs or lack of beliefs. They think it is there way or the highway. Prolific arrogance seems to be a requirement for some religions. As thye see it if you don't worship some diety, their own, then you must worship something even if that is just yourself.

their perspective has been heavily influenced by what they grew up with, and thats religion. they find it hard to imagine becuz for them they never had to imagine it.
we do view our own beliefs as the truth fish. thats what causes arguments and suffering. we think our perception of the truth is the truth and if anyone challenges our ideas we get personally offended. even though they only disagree with our idea and not us, we take it personally and suffer.

It isn't hard for me at all.
Why do some people call us retarded idiots just for worshipping God?
It's sad to me to think that there are such unkind, prejudiced people in this world who hate me just because I love Jesus.

That's not hard to imagine at all. But it doesn't relieve us of the responsibility to warn them of what's coming, regardless.
