The only-begotten Son of God, the only Son produced by Jehovah alone. This Son is the firstborn of all creation. By means of him all other things in heaven and on earth were created. He is the second-greatest personage in the universe. It is this Son whom Jehovah sent to the earth to give his life as a ransom for mankind, thus opening the way to eternal life for those of Adam’s offspring who would exercise faith. This same Son, restored to heavenly glory, now rules as King, with authority to destroy all the wicked and to carry out his Father’s original purpose for the earth. The Hebrew form of the name Jesus means “Jehovah Is Salvation”; Christ is the equivalent of the Hebrew Ma·shi′ach (Messiah), meaning “Anointed One.”
Was Jesus Christ a real, historical person?
The Bible itself is the principal evidence that Jesus Christ is a historical person. The record in the Gospels is not a vague narrative of events at some unspecified time and in an unnamed location. It clearly states time and place in great detail. For an example, see Luke 3:1, 2, 21-23.
Is Jesus Christ actually God?
John 17:3, RS: “[Jesus prayed to his Father:] This is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God [“who alone art truly God,” NE], and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.” (Notice that Jesus referred not to himself but to his Father in heaven as “the only true God.”)
John 20:17, RS: “Jesus said to her [Mary Magdalene], ‘Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” (So to the resurrected Jesus, the Father was God, just as the Father was God to Mary Magdalene. Interestingly, not once in Scripture do we find the Father addressing the Son as “my God.”)

To know who Jesus Christ is you could read in the Bible the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and then also read other books from Genesis through Revelation.
I would recommend reading Genesis, Exodus, 1 Samuel, Song of Solomon (a poem), Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, several other New Testament books, read 1st, 2nd and 3rd John (which comes before the book of Jude), and definitely Revelation.
You have to understand that Jesus was intimately familiar with the Old Testament Hebrew and very often quoted from it. The story of Joseph in Genesis is much like Jesus, David's life as recorded in 1st and 2nd Samuel is like the life of Jesus. Song of Solomon (Canticorum) is the love the Messiah has for the Church. Those O.T. books will help you understand Jesus; oh and also the book Job, this shows something about the work that Christ had to do.
The gospels (Matthew, ...) are at the core of who Jesus is. Revelation is called the revelation of Jesus Christ (see previous answer to questions on my page)

Grace as the Spiritual Transmission of the Spiritual Master Jesus
In studying these Eastern traditions, one senses that the traditional Western religious view may be hampered by its lack of a living Spiritual Master who can provide a present-time demonstration of Spiritual Transmission. The Spiritual Master with whom the West is most familiar ceased to be available "in the flesh" two thousand years ago. Furthermore, the religion founded in the name of that Spiritual Master also made the decision (to quash the competing Arian view about Jesus) to make a fundamental tenet of its creed be the declaration that that Spiritual Master was the one and only Spiritual Master or "Son of God" in all of human history; no other could be his spiritual equal or better. In sharp contrast, the Indian tradition holds that India has never experienced a time without either a living Spiritual Master or a saint capable of serving as a Spiritual Transmitter to those devotees who were ready to receive his or her Transmission. The Indian culture has always been one in which the view of the Spiritual Master as the source of Grace is common knowledge, grounded in somewhat less common experience. Those "in the know" are able to point newcomers to the Spiritual Transmitters alive in their time.

Jesus was a traveling rabbi and healer.
Jesus Christ is the name for a roman catholic mythical figure who is a distortion of what the real Jesus stood for and taught.

Son of God.
He manifested into flesh and lived among us.
He shed His blood for us on the cross to save us.
