If Yeshua/jesus wandered the country side doing acts of healing, kindness, and preaching love, why isn't that enough for him to be remember for. Why did they add these impossible acts to his story.

I think the fact that he was crucified was no big deal at the time. They did that a lot. But somehow it gave the impetus for the Christian faith to get going. I'm pretty sure he would have just faded if not for that. There could have been no resurrection story. What is sad is I think a lot of the stuff he said has been lost, and the Hell bashers have adopted him. I'm pretty sure he would have had no truck with that nonsense. It is so against any notion of love and peace.

I would say because these are attributed only to the power of God. Small miracles occur daily, depending on how you look at the world, or not at all. Miracles of this nature reach everyone, regardless of which point of view you take. Healing, kindness, and preaching love are the acts of humans, and to God in human form, these acts are essential. But to claim to be God in human form, not just a human with grace, there are skeptics and non-believers that Jesus was trying to reach.

Believers see a small miracle and are willing to immediately attribute it to the power of God. But Jesus was here for everyone, so things that could only be attributed to God needed to happen in order to reach the non-believers and the skeptics.

At least that is how I see it.

They weren't impossible for him.

Keep in mind the history of our species--women were burned as witches if they took a few herbs and helped someone overcome a cold. Our modern medicine would confound the primitive mind. So Jesus Christ knew metaphysical things others didn't at that time. Or even now.

Besides, if you saw something like that, would you deny it, or document it?

He himself said that his miracles affirmed his teachings that he was the Son of God.

Joh 14:11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.

Of course miracles also increase one's culpability.

Joh 15:24 If I had not done among them what no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen these miracles, and yet they have hated both me and my Father.

Jesus used to speak at the synagogues, but he got kicked out for calling himself a prophet. As for those "impossible" acts, with God nothing is impossible.

...and why reveal yourself to a goat herding society anyway, instead of now when we can watch the miracles on HDTV?

So....if you believe he did acts of healing, why can't you believe he did the other things?
