The more you understand, the less things will have the power to scare you. I was scared of the dark until... oh, wait a minute. I'm still scared of the dark.

Well, I'll tell you why Mormons scare me...

Whenever I go to my church (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) there are Mormons just EVERYWHERE!

Come on, just kidding.

Mormons are just people... only human. Nothing to be scared about, unless you live in Utah, and then I understand, lol.

Perfect love casts out fear... Mormons scare me sometimes too, but I have learned that as I love people for their differences and their similarities, I am no longer frightened of them.

Fundies still scare me though, so I have work to do.

Because you believe rumours and lies about them.

Or maybe you're scared that they are correct and you are wrong...

Lol, Leesha you are severely misinformed! You can't even date when you're 15 in our religion, and you can't get married until you're 18!!!! Duh! And we don't believe in arranged marriages, we are NOT polygamists, and I've never heard of a Mormon who was 15 and married to a 60 year old. Perhaps you're thinking of the FLDS church...

probably because of their personal approach, coming up to your door, insisting that you listen, writing you letters, leaving their booklets around where the rest of us know it's improper etiquette to leave them there, overstepping their bounds, talking a lot until you either give up or give in, yeah, that's their way, the way the are taught to convert.

Most other religions are taught to convert by good works, i.e. you do good works and the other person converts because they see you do good in the world.

btw, muslims are pushy too.

Perhaps they scare you because they want you to join their cult? Or perhaps it's their insane extra-Biblical teachings that have you frightened? Like black men being the Curse of Cain??? Or that ole Joe Smith quotes Shakespeare in the BOM? Or the belief that the Garden of Eden was in Missori??? Or the heretical Mormon belief Jesus Christ was conceived by G-d the Father by having sex with Mary, who was temporarily his wife?

Because' they' have the truth, and you don't!
Except for these Christians, (LDS), > most other christians scare me.!!
At least these Christians are consistent, every single time..
I will defend these,( LDS) ,every time, and I won't lift a hand to defend any of the other christian ones.
