I hate school. Lately, I have been noticing that I am becoming more and more antisocial. I love to talk to people, but I have very few friends. I always sit by myself and walk around the playground at school. I am in 7th grade. I wish I could be less depressed all the time, but I don't know what to do. I have had terrible luck with the ladies, so I won't ever date again. If someone could help me get through this, I would appreciate it.

"Terrible luck with the ladies"...for heavens sake sweetie, you are only in 7th grade! Wait till high school to date.

I think you need to learn how to make more friends; get involved in school things like clubs, sports, after school activities, etc. People like to be around someone that is a bit lively, not moping around the playground by himself. Also, you can make friends at church, in your neighborhood and other places too.

Is there anything going on at home that contributes to your depression? Is all ok there? If so, you need to get going on changing things at school, ok? Good luck!

Try joining clubs or groups. People make many friends there. There also just like making random friends, like through the friends you already have. For your lady problems, your in 7th grade, you've got plenty of time to find a gf. Don't give up now. Your going to meet new people as your world expands. Just give it time and I'm sure everything will turn out ok. Just keep an optimistic view. Ok? :)

I understand what you are feeling, that is similar to what I went through. Middle School is SUCH a hard time because everyone is realizing who they are and where they belong. The bad part is, they end up becoming selfish and vain in the proccess. This happens through high school. When it comes to ladies, DON'T worry. Girls in middle school cannot be trusted because they, too are going through changes and they don't really know what is going on. In high school, that part will change for sure. Try to keep your head up and like some of the others have said, join clubs if there are any that interest you and keep talking to people. It WILL get better.

You need to get in training. So, try these exercises. Run down an escalator that is going up. Or fill a leaky bucket. That will give you a taste of what's in store. Not that you need one. You can already tell how frustrating a particular situation is becoming. Here's how to avoid exasperation. Quit while you are ahead. And if you can't do that - quit while you are behind. Just quit. If something is supposed to happen, it will. It is one thing to give fate a gentle nudge and another to drag it in a direction it does not want to go.

Maybe try to talk to someone like a therapist or counselor, they will help you sort things out and figure out why you feel the way you feel
