im trying to install my windows xp home edition cd to my windows me computer. where can i get the product key from (download maybe)? can i get it from microsoft or something.
i need the bbest possible answer

If Windows XP is still installed on the system, you can recover it. See the link below for a free program that will reveal all Microsoft Product Keys currently installed on your system. If you reformatted your system, the it is gone and I'm sorry to say you are out of luck.

Well, you didn't really ask anything. If you want to find the product key, you're out of luck unless there's a patch you can download off Microsoft that scans your system and can give you the product key.

Oh well, if its an XP, there are generic and also generated product key compilations available on the net, the problem with this compilation is that it has a lot of keys on it and you have to try them all up. Try to look this compilations on a P2P programs. If you will you common web pages, you will end up with cracks, keys, and those sort of stuffs that are all nothing but money making.try using ARES, LIMEWIRE, BEARSHARE and those kinda programs.
