I want to change the settings on what program opens when I click on a music or mp3 file. Somehow a new program was downloaded and now that program opens when I try to start an mp3 file, where do I go to set the program I like as the default?

Thank you

Open Explorer (WINDOW KEY - E)

Click TOOLS - FOLDEr OPTIONS - FILE TYPES

Choose the File extension you want to change, and select the new one.

Alternatively, Hold down the left SHIFT key, and right click a file you want to open, and choose OPEN WITH.

Choose the program from the list, or browse for it, and check the box that says ALWAYS USE THIS PROGRAM WHEN OPENING FILES OF THIS TYPE.

1. Open a folder with your music files in it (e.g. My Music)
2. Right click on any music file.
3. Click on Properties
4. Opens with: click on Change
5. Highlight the program you want to use.
6. Check the box that says Always use the selected program to open this kind of file
7. Click on OK. The icons associated with your music files should change to the new program you selected.

you right click the file, click open with, then click choose program, a window should pop up with many programs, pick the one you want and right below the scroll box there should be a check box that say " always use the selected program to open this type of file, check that and hit ok and it should work.
