wolfblayde, i tried to e-mail you. Really iam just a stupid carpenter and housepainter. No education past highschool. Even that makes me more educated than many fundamentalist anti-evangelists

Shirley, you are correct because God has certainly been very merciful to me

James Bond, anti-Catholic and non-Catholic are not identical terms. I never seen mainstream Protestants, Orthodox, Armenians, or Coptics calling us the whore of Babylon and claiming we are not Christians

Oldguy63, i suggest you look up our Apostle's Creed somewhere. We are not Catholic if we do not accept that and your definition of Christian fits us.

no.

A lot of people who call themselves Christians are anti-Catholic, mainly because they haven't taken the time to learn or understand what it means to be a Catholic.

Catholics pray to Mary and the saints and those who don't take the time to understand why we do so, often believe wrongly that we are idol-worshippers.

They also have issues with the Pope, because they don't understand that to us, the Pope is an elected, spiritual leader to the worldwide Catholic faith.

If more people would take the time to understand other religions, there would be a lot fewer issues like this in the world.

Yes you are on the right truck, you are just a bout to join your so called fundamentalist's,it is the doing of God,some day soon you are going to taste this by your self. There are things you learn best by experiencing them. I once used to question and defend my religion like you do,but one day the light and revelation of the Gospel of the kingdom shone in my heart and I was never the same again, please get the mind and plan of God from Jeremiah 31 and it shall be well with you.

Persons who attack the Catholic Church, which is the Body of Christ, are in fact, attacking Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

Which is a very scary thought. (Shiver)

Most of the time, people who do this don't understand, though, and are acting or speaking from ignorance.

When they crucified Him, Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." The same is true in our own day.

If the Master suffered with patience and forgave for the sake of bringing some of these along down the road, can't we His followers do the same - for His own sweet sake?

Did I ever tell you that I love you, bro? You're a gem, you are. :-)

Edit:

Sorry for not accepting emails, but I got tired of the hate mail and "Here's something you ought to read, Catholic scum" proselytizing.

And education has nothing to do with one's wit and wisdom, my friend. You have both a'plenty, so don't apologize for anything.

generalized answer: "no that's silly, Christians believe in Christ. Catholics on the other hand worship Mary and go dancing with Satan on friday nights. I've never actually done the research myself, but that Jack Chick told me all about it"

good question, our dark vatican masters would be proud.

The problem is that "Christian" has many definitions and meanings to different people.

By definition, yes.

Although don't expect them to 'fess up to their hypocrisy anytime soon, though.

Isn't it interesting how folks who love to dish it out can never seem to handle getting a dose of their own medicine in return?...

EDIT: You have excellent taste. And yes... I am very suspicious. Bwahahaha!

So what are anti-non-catholic fundamentalists called?

(i.e. catholics who hate protestants, eastern orthodox, armenian, copts, etc.)
