Well, the dude is tops now. He calls the shots. If Cotto wants a go, he better send Floyd one hell of a christmas card. Anyone can find a reason to bash a top fighter because there are always a few guys out there that deserve a shot. But Floyd would have to fight 5 guys a year for 3 years to "beat them all". And by then, a few new guys will pop up. Floyd doesn't owes us the satisfaction of watching him get too old to fight, then finally lose.

He has nothing left to prove, I remember when he fought de la hoya the story was the same, there is always that one boxer that can beat mayweather then when the boxer looses to mayweather all of a sudden he becomes old or over rated,I just think people just want to say mayweather loose and they pick the next "great hope" to fulfill that role,in the past it was zab judah, then de la hoya then hatton, even if he beats cotto, people will be ready to throw another name into the mix and claim that the person could beat mayweather,i think floyd ahs nothing to prove to anyone like he said :"he should retire from boxing, boxing should not retire him"

Oh the Hatton fans are going to hate Mayweather forever.

See had it come down to a decision...that would be more manageable. They could handle that. They could complain "Oh those American Judges...blah blah blah".

But the one great thing about a knockout, is that it disputes all arguements. You can argue Mayweather fought dirty...well maybe. But Hatton was no angel on the inside either.

The truth is England is all about their royalty. Thats why they loved watching Lennox walk around with a crown. They live for that. And now, their king, Ricky Hatton, was not just beaten, but he was thrown down from his throne. And now he can never go back up there again. Sure he will fight on...but he will never be the unbeaten phenom that he was.

AND, of all people to do it, it was Mayweather. Mayweather represents everything that they hate. "He runs..he doesnt like to fight..." and yet this cowardly, running Mayweather KNOCKED OUT Hatton.

Thats hard medicine to swallow.

I know. I cant believe people are still talking bad. Brits are still thinking Hatton can beat Mayweather. Face the fact that your fighter was whipped. You think it would be different if it happen in England? No way. Hatton is not even close to the level of Mayweather. Just stay in England and fight sub par fighters for the rest of you career and become a legend there. Theres only one Mayweather. Sing it loud.

I don't see Brits bashing PBF ?.....As a matter of fact; virtually ALL of those Brits who were so vocal & self-assured @ Y Answers for months in support of Ricky-----Now seem to have mysteriously vanished from the face of the Earth ??----I have not heard any news reports indicating that some form of natural catastrophie, such as a Tsunami, has engulfed the UK ?? ....so....I can only attribute their disappearance & silence to Ricky's loss which the Brits probably do regard as the most catastrophic event in the Histoty of the UK ?

Most of not all boxers are going to have their hated crowd. In Mayweather's case, I don't think he can do anything right to win over people, even if he amazingly knocked out a super middleweight champion. He will always have his haters, even if he loses a fight.
