There are many things that will cause your kitty to have runny eyes and those tears become crusty as they dry.

The only safe at home treatment you can do is wipe them with a warm wet washcloth until she can be seen by the vet. Don't give her any human medicines, they are toxic to kitties.

Most of the causes of runny eyes are easily curable with medicine. The sooner she is seen by her vet, the quicker the recovery.

Purrs to you and kitty.

It depends on what is causing the runny crusty eyes. Does she have any other symptoms such as sneezing, wheezing or coughing? If so, she has an upper respiratory infection and needs to see the vet. The same symptoms are also caused by allergies. Has she been doing this a while, or has it just started? The vet can also give you allergy pills to help with this. If its just weeping eyes, then it could be conjunctivitis or cat pink eye. This is an infection that can be treated easily with a topical medication from your vet.

Depends what the cause is, doesn't it? No point giving her eye medication if the source of the problem is in her eyes. No point treating her for an eye infection if she has blocked tear ducts.

What I'm saying is, you need to find out what the problem is before you know what to use to help it. And you're not going to find the answer on here - people can't diagnose over the internet, or even guess based on that vague a description.

If you really do want an answer to this question, have the cat looked at by a vet.

Whatever the vet prescribes! Don't try to self-medicate!

I have a pet with a similar symptom. Have you spoken to a veterinarian? Maybe excercising your pet can help.

You first need to see what is causing it. So talk to your veterinarian. It could be feline herpes, clamydia, a cold or allergies.
