Kickboxing, Spinning, and/or Bootcamp Classes! Talk about a workout!

If your goal is to burn body fat, you have a few different approaches to chose from. The majority of trainers recommend you take the low intensity approach to cardio. The idea behind doing cardio at a low intensity level is that most of the calories burned will come from body fat. Many people believe that if you workout too hard, you are burning carbohydrate energy in the body and not targeting fat. Many people make the point that more total calories are burned if people exercise at a higher intensity level. They reason that if you simply burn more calories than you consume in a day, you will lose body fat. So now we will look in more detail at each school of thought. Well, I bet most people do cardio "whenever they get a chance." Sometimes during the middle of the day, sometimes before bed, sometimes directly after your weightlifting workout, sometimes directly before the weightlifting workout and sometimes first thing in the morning. The truth is, all of those times will get results. It doesn't matter what time of day you do your cardio workout, you will be burning calories every time. BUT, the real question is, which of those times is the most effective? And the answer is (drum roll please).... first thing in the morning!

Jumping rope. So simple, plus it works out your lungs really well too. Swimming is a great full body work out that is easy on your joints and can be a lot of fun, too. Both of these will burn fat, build muscle, improve your overall physical fitness, and give you more energy. Not to mention increasing your metabolism. I'm sure you'll find a great routine that will suit your needs best. Just make sure you stick to it once you find it. Hope your search goes well!

I'm a model and a size 2 but have a huge appetite! I keep it off by jump roping for at least 30 minutes 5 days a week.
If it's too hard to do a whole 30 minutes at first start at 5 or 10 and add 5 minutes every week.

LOL, cardio is cardio, what ever you do to get your heart rate up has the same cardio result. Pick one you like and do it...

Your confusing cardio with other workouts targeting different results.

There is a jump board on the Aero Pilates machine. It burns more calories than running.

Swimming. Its a full body workout and a ton of cardio.

It's gotta be swimming for a great all rounder - do it 3 times a week & watch the weight drop off & you tone up all those wobbly bits too!

Boxing-themed workout. Works all your muscles and is fast-paced. Most sports club's offer a boxing-themed workout class.
