The best colour for a small room is white or a light colour. Sun yellow is not too bed but adding any more colours will definitely make the room seem smaller. Go for white curtains and mats. Don't use a boarder.

Light colours make the room bigger.
I suggest you go for light colours like white or pale yellow. the best if you can get those with the mixture of these 2 colours in vertical stripes. This will create a very high ceiling effect
and help to boost the size of the bathroom VISUALLY !
Have bigger mirrors will be your 2nd tool.
Do not panic over the difficulties to maintain light coloured shower curtains. Get ready a big pail and bring the curtain down and soak in a 10/90 bleach/water solution overnight to remove molding.

White or yellow curtain and mats would go okay. A boarder, a light one going around the walls would be pretty too. Maybe a light green, blue, or white again. I love white boarders with about every color there is. My mom painted her back porch yellow ( a really bright yellow though ) and outlined it in hunter green, and has sunflower boarder going around it with a lot of sunflower figurines and designs in the room. It looks cute.

3 colorings is a lot for a small room like this, so i think of you will extra helpful %. between the three you have already got. feels like there is a good style of blue already, so i could pass with white as a regular decision. difficult to maintain finding sparkling in case you have black canine hair floating all over the homestead like I do, yet it relatively is probable what is going to seem superb. a easy colour on the floor additionally makes a room seem exceedingly greater. pink could be my next decision, yet you have a undertaking finding pink tiles because of the fact it had extra helpful be a superb experience with the tub. a plenty darker blue would desire to paintings in case you get the best blue. additionally evaluate some thing in a easy timber grain colour like maple for the reason that timber is going with each thing, or a easy gray in case you like a ceramic or ceramic seem. yet another concept is doing a checker development which shows a Fifties sense which the colorings you have already got sound like. if so, white with the two blue or pink could be good, and the pink would desire to be darker yet do no longer purchase any pink without taking a pattern homestead to be certain the way it seems.

I love the idea of a yellow and lavender bathroom. I would go with a real light purple shower curtain.
Instead of borders I would suggest finding some nice stencils, I would pick two of the same stencil and a one different to create a pattern. Take the stencils and some purple paint and stencil on the pattern in different spots through out the room.
Check your Lowe's or Home Depot. They carry magazines with do it yourself decorating tips and ideas.
In my opinion, if you don't mind something really feminine, go with the lavender and yellow. Light purple is used often in bathroom decor and it should be easy to find nice towels, washcloths and bath rugs to match.

I dont know what color your fixtures are (tub sink commode) i assume white. If so than yellow and white need to have warm colors added.... You could go with fall colors, burnt orange, deep red, deep brown, or even some light greens(minty).....
A border and a white ceiling mean a stopping point, a suggestion is to paint the ceiling a shade of yellow or even dry brush your excisting yellow over the current color.... And mirrors and stainless steel make a room feel larger....

My bedroom is bright yellow. My bedspread is black and i have a black rug. The darker colors calms the BRIGHTness of the yellow down. It's really pretty together.
So I would say black.
Then again.. there are a lot of colors that would look good in a bright yellow room. White would be pretty.

Try: white or ivory
rose
peach* or coral
lime or mint or sage or hunter green*
aqua or turquoise
sky or smoke blue*
lavender
caramel
espresso*
The border will be ok, as long as color is not too bright, and
objects in it are small-ish [ daisies vs. sunflowers ].
