What advice would you give, in a case that a person was previously in a long term relationship and you feel like they are the one? I know they dont want to come off strong or be too pushy. However what if, the other person does not know that. Also, given time needed before a new relationship is started how long should one wait or linger around. When they meet both were in a relationship, now both of them are single.

It depends on a lot of things.

What was the nature of the relationship? What about the terms of parting? And how is the one person handling it?

Time and care are needed: Someone's who's just had a major heartbreak is not going to be in a hurry to risk emotional attachments again.

Let a friendship be first, something warm and strong. And if it is right, the two will figure it out.

Good luck.

The easiest way to be with another after a long term relationship, is to do easy, non-pressure stuff...Walk on the beach, have coffee together, take a bike ride, something fun, relaxing. Not a concert and not a dinner type stuff...time spent with this person casually without pushing yourself on them indicates like and boundaries at the beginning, so the relationship can flow and grow...No rush, just allow time to pass and discuss life and your hopes, wishes dreams and don't make any verbal commitment of love until the time is right, and you will know, if and when, it is.

Sincerely,

Grace

No, they may go back to that person. Been there and done that. You'll be a rebound.
