Don't get yourself in this situation; this thing about soul and body things.

Just do what is clear to you: solat, zikir, fasting, befriend with knowledgeable people (solehah) and all....

And my dear muslimah, if you carry on think of this, you'll eventually go crazy.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: Allah’s Messenger said, “A strong believer is better and dearer to Allah than a weak one in all good things. Adhere to that which is most beneficial for you. Keep beseeching Allah for help and do not refrain from it. If you are afflicted in any way, do not say: ‘If I had taken this or that step, it would have resulted into such and such,’ but say only: ‘Allah so determined and did as He willed.’ The word ‘if’ opens the gates of satanic conduct.” (Muslim)

Allah knows best.

From what I've read in the works of Imam Al-Ghazali, this body we are wearing is the vehicle of the soul. But the body is created in the image of the soul. And like all vehicle it have an expiry date i.e. we get old. Or if the soul time is up, death will come even if we are still young. That time is the secret only Allah know. And about the soul, we actually know very little about it.

When the soul left the body, whats left behind is dirt. For that is what we are originally made of. Remember Adam?
And no, you are not crazy, this have been the philosophical debate for centuries, but only until The Holy Quran is sent the matter have been addressed. And people are still intrigue by this question, since very little is known about it. This is the matter of the unseen, yet open in the plain view every time we look into the mirror.

Are not Allah Great in His Creation?
Subhaanallah Walhamdulillah Wa laa ilaha ilallh wa Allahu Akbar.

That is actually a good question, i struggled with this for a long time until I came to a realization. There are 3 parts to you: The physical, mental, spiritual. You can call them different names if you want.

You think with your mind, the mental part of you. this part is separate from the physical (your body) thought it is attached to your body (in your brain). The spiritual part is where you "feel" emotions such as love, anger, etc. This is also separate from your mind, though both are also attached inside your body. For example. If you love someone, you "feel" the love emotion inside you, but your thoughts don't "feel" this emotion. You think of why you love someone, why they're good, you think of the emotion you feel.

Now your body. Your body is made up of tissue, bones, muscle. If you were to lose a part of your body. say your hand, or your leg, you would still feel emotions such as love, and you feel them exactly the same as if you hadn't lost a part of your body. Your mind thinks about the how's and why's etc. it processes information, and your body is like a home for your inner being. Your mind and soul. These are the three parts of you.

I guess in short, the answer to your question is yes, the soul is doing the talking by sending feelings to your mind which causes your body to do the talking. The real you is your soul, the interpreter to your soul is your mind, the tangible part of you, is your body. Does that make sense?

You are not crazy; its a very good question.
Your soul is the one residing in this body, and it is the one that tells it what to do. Your soul is the thing, the person, who lives in your body and when your soul wants to say something, it is the body it lives in that does it.
Since the brain is needed for all bodily functions, its easy to think that your brain has the ultimate control, but that is not the case. Your brain only has the ultimate control when it has to do with the physical functioning of your body, but when it comes to choices and thoughts and decisions and what not, your soul is in charge, and your brain takes care of the physical aspect of implementing your bodily functions.

Right- We are not this material body, IE; Race, color, nationality, Religion, mind, intellect, senses, job, etc. We are all eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We never die, only this mortal body dies. This material world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery, only one fourth of the souls come here, and the rest are enjoying blissful eternal loving relationships with our Maker named above. We fell here due to envying Gods position. He made the material world for those who want to try to live separately from Him (Which is impossible because He is actually everywhere). After many lifetimes of trying to be happy in this temporary world one becomes frustrated and board and begins to question their existence. We then seek out real happiness, and when one becomes sincere God reveals how to come back Home. Those who are intelligent, take up the process of self realization (Bhakti Yoga) which begins with the chanting of the holy names of God named above. The Maha Mantra (is the great mantra for deliverance from all suffering and illusion, and names of God), which gives one real peace, happiness and reality. Then at the end of life they can give up all material attachments and fully surrender to God and return to the eternal Kingdom, where there is no more birth, death, old age, or disease and be eternally happy. No matter what your religion glorify the names of God. World peace.

In Genesis in the Bible, it says that God breathed life and he became a LIVING soul. Your body is just a shell for this world. It's not that we have a soul...we are a soul!

God Bless.

Does not man see that We have created him from the small life-germ? Then lo! he is an open disputant And he strikes out a likeness for Us and forgets his own creation. Says he: Who will give life to the bones, when they are rotten? Say: He will give life to them, Who brought them into existence at first, and He is Knower of all creation, Who produced fire for you out of the green tree, so that with it you kindle. Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? Yea! and He is the Creator (of all), the Knower. His command, when He intends anything, is only to say to it, Be, and it is, So glory be to Him in Whose hand is the Kingdom of all things! and to Him you will be returned" - (36:77-83.)

Your brain commands your vocal chords and mouth to make you talk (or in this case, commands your fingers to push the keys). There is no soul. Your consciousness comes from your brain.
