i recently heard the argument "hoe can somehting come from nothing", in an argument against athiesm. bu there are alot of scientific theories on how the universe began, and their all alot more plausable than some guy snapped his fingers and now we all have to worship him, and we're born origional with sin and if we dont repent we're all going to hell, but he loves us and he needs money. the only real pro-god argument is that it cannot be proven that he dose not exist, but why dosn't someone prove he dose?

do you mean to tell me, gazoo, if thats your real name, that no science attempts a creation theory?
the big bang theory is actually very informative, plausable and confusing.

Dear Chit,

I don't think god needs money (it probably wouldn't be legal tender up there anyway).
You can't prove god exists - that is why no rationale person tries to prove he does.

Yes, there are flaws in both theories (something coming from nothing - either the big bang or creation, especially since everything is suppose to going toward entropy, and energy always being conserved), but you make a choice as to what you want to believe. So don't worry about it. Either way we are all going to die.

No one can prove that god exists because he doesn't. Think about this, atheism has so many evidence as a basis for their belief, whereas religion has its books, which doesn't explain anything. In addition, if something is contradictory, why do you or anyone else continue to belief it? Is it for tradition? Fear of being an outcast? What ever it may be, it's better for you to just accept the truth which is science, rather than some mythical story no one will ever prove. That's like saying, "I'm gonna prove that the toothfairy's real," and you know fully well that it's just an idea, a personification of what happens in our world.

Dude, pick a spelling and stick to it.

No-one's trying to prove God doesn't exist. They choose to believe he doesn't exist. Science merely reduces the odds of him needing to exist.

None of the science explanations say any such thing, but that usually is how the religious say their god did it. Go figure.

Okay, so your point is that atheism seems more plausible to you than religion? Atheism seems more rational to me too. I don't know what else to add to that.
