Go to your stake pres. and tell him you have questions and don't feel connected to you bishop. He'll help you.

Likewise, I would be glad to answer questions for you. Send me an email and we can discuss your concerns. However, as to matters that led to your current status, they have to be discussed with your bishop. That is his jurisdiction to be the common judge in Israel. Sometimes we don't like the advice we are given because it may seem hard. However, I promise that if you approach your meetings with the bishop prayerfully, and request that he do the same, I am sure he is anyway, then you will feel that the advice is probably for the best.
Ditto to your other answers, if you don't feel comfortable with the bishop, then ask for an appointment with the stake president. You should also have home teachers that can help you with questions and answers. You might also find the local institute at a college near you and talk to the institute director. They are good with listening and recommending a course of action.
Above all else, don't give up. Don't be discouraged. Remember that the miracle follows the exercise of faith. Persevere in your efforts to find answers. Be patient. Study, ponder, pray and do what is expected of you. Press forward and the results will follow.

Well, I think that missionaries are always a great bet. I'm sure if you look around you town, you will find them. You can also request that they come via the church's website, mormon.org.

Also, I am a member, have been my whole life, and I would be happy to help answer any questions you may have.

Good luck

If you have doctrinal questions you could try googling Jeff Lindsey, FAIR, or FARMS. I'm not a believer anymore but I know these guys have developed responses to many of the criticisms of the church that your bishop may not know much about.

I have open email, you are welcome to discuss your questions with me.
I am sorry you don't feel comfortable talking with your bishop -- I've had some bishops who I didn't connect with either and it makes a conversation such as the one you are looking to have difficult.
Personally, I never feel I have enough friends and am always looking for my newest.
If you are looking for someone closer to you irl, try your stake president. You may have a better personality match there and he can give you counsel as well as answer your questions.

You will find that there are some very good Latter-day Saints here who will happily support you and answer your questions -- drizzt, plastik punk, all the 'ducks', and many more.

Best wishes

You can always contact the local missionaries in your ward, or perhaps try to contact some of the old members. If you have some questions that you need answered feel free to email me and I shall do my best to help you out. Being a Ward missionary / follower of Christ it is my job to help you out in any way that I can. But if I cannot help you I hope that you do find the help that you need and are able to return to church.

There are many sources of support in addition to the bishop. Missionaries, home and visiting teachers, and most members. I also suggest you attend the next fast and testimony meeting. Someone will speak who is similar to you, and you will be moved by their testimony. Reach out to that person and he will be the support you need.

Well, it depends on the situation.

You are free to email me with any questions and I will get you the answers.

Also, if you can't talk to your Bishop, try your stake president. If He can't help, then you go to your Mission President...you just work your way up the ladder lol.

You could contact your local missionaries - either by going through mormon.org or just call your local ward.

Alternatively if you have any old address books or letters from when you were last active - you could try looking up some of your old friends from back then and seeing if they can help you - that way if you feel that you want to go back to church then you would have some friends.

You can go to "mormon.org" AND there you can find answers to common questions and I believe there is even a link so that you can have missionaries visit you. You can also find your local ward/branch/stake for you to go on Sundays.

Best of luck!! ;o)

The Brothers and Sisters on this Answer thread have given you some good suggestions. I would risk repeating them with my answer. Instead I can offer to pray for you and, if needed, answer any questions you may have.
