Alright, I haven't had my kittens for too long. Maybe a month now. When I was trying to litter train them, the first kitten took to it in maybe 2 days. She'll even sprint across the house just to make it to the litter box. My second kitten will NOT go into the litter box. I've got to the point to where I can tell when she's about to go.She knows that I know what she's about to do, so when I walk towards her to pick her up and put her in the litter box... She will run away from me as fast as she can to make it to a corner of the room they sleep in and go on the floor. We had a box that was right next to the litter box. She somehow she got on top of that just to use the bathroom there instead of the litter box. I'm thinking maybe some cats wont use the same litter box? I don't know. I've never owned two cats at the same time.

Have either of your kittens seen a vet? It could be a medical thing that needs to be treated and the kitten is equating the pain with the litter box. Cats are very smart animals and take to a litter box really quickly and easily. You could also try getting a second litter box and placing it somewhere else. Some cats are just picky about where they go. I have four cats and three litter boxes. None of them have any issues using any of the three boxes.

Try getting a separate "short" litter pan ( 9 / 11 cake pan works) and put a different litter in it. I had a kitten (now cat) who could NOT STAND the feel of litter on her feet! If I put her in the pan, she'd jump right back out and shake her feet like she had something stuck on them! So, I got a litter made from pine pellets, and made her a separate place to "go". For the next 6 months, she used "her" litter pan, and was happy with it. Then, at about 6 mos, she decided the other litter was ok, so now everyone uses the same stuff. Hope this helps....Good luck.

I've owned two female cats for 9 years now and never had to litterbox train them. They just knew to use the box, and they both use the same litterbox.

Since your cat is runner...just have to catch her and put her right in the liter box. Even before she looks like she is going to go pee on your floor...just pick her up and put her in the liter. That is what I had to do with my cat. Cats are weird...they do what they want....hope you get her trained soon.

Yes, some cats will not go where other's have gone.

The other problem is your kitten smells where it has gone before so you must eliminate the odour.

I always recommend 'Odour-mute' follow the directions and it will work for you.
