Giving Blood?

Do you know how old you have to be to give blood? I'm 17 and I live in KY. Can I sell Plasma?

Are their any side effects from giving blood?

you must be 18 and weigh more than 100lbs. The only "side effect" that I know of , is light headedness sometimes after words for a few minutes, but most places keep you seated and feed you high sugar content cookies etc. It passes in a few minutes, and doesn't happen to everyone.
