Driver's choice - that's the rule. You don't want the driver distracted by music which is annoying to them.
And don't fight in the car - it's freaking dangerous! No wonder your mother was mad.

Driver controls the car and the radio station.
Grow up. If you were my kids neither of you would be driving until you were more mature. Fighting over a radio station when driving puts every person the road with you in danger because you are not paying attention to the ROAD!
Stop acting like a spoiled brat.

My older sisters had to share a car. To settle the fights of who got to drive and who controlled the radio this was the rule:
If one drove last time the other drives this time and the one NOT driving has control of the radio. That way changing the radio wasn't a hazard to the driver.
They had one fight right after the rule was inacted and my parents took the car for a week. They agreed the rule was fair and not so bad. Best of luck!

I think you should get something you can listen to your own music when your not driving..driver should have choice to put on stations they want or offer to let the other people choose(i generally ask the other occupants of the vehicle what they prefer to listen to.....BUTsince you asked what I think....I think neither of you are acting responsible enough to have control of a motor vehicle..your girls should grow up before you endanger others because you are BOTH being selfish and immature....

Personally, if I'm driving keep your mitts off of everything: the radio, the A/C, the windows etc. You may ask and I might follow your wishes (except for the radio, don't touch, don't ask) I don't care whose car it is, I'm driving.
If you borrow my car, listen to what you want but return the radio to my station. Are you listening Son?

One time my brother and I got into a fight over the radio stations. He was driving and wrecked our dad's car. My dad made us walk when we wanted to go somewhere. And after that we never fought over radio stations again.

Isn't it more important to arrive at your destination safely than what is playing on the damn radio???? Grow up!!! Besides, whoever is driving controls the ENTIRE car and that includes the radio station.

I think if you cant agree then just keep the radio off. Just tell her you have a headache and ask if she minds turning it off.

teens shouldn't even be allowed to listen to the radio when driving, in my opinion.

Type of music, volume of music, temperature of vehicle, all should be determined by the driver.
