Typicaly in the oven. It generally consists of the top element in the oven, use this in conjunction of moving the rack up to within about 3 or 4 inches. Leave the oven door cracked open when broiling. Take a look in your oven and see it you see an element in the top.

The broilers are in the drawer in a gas range, and in the oven at the top in an electric stove.

Turn on the broiler and then open first the main door then the drawer and see which is hotter...

I HATE drawer broilers...

Depends on the model of the stove. As long as the burner heats on top of your food you are broiling. Some are in the top of the oven some stoves have a drawer on the bottom of the oven.

gas ovens the older one are in a drawer the newer ones are in the oven all electric stoves are in the oven

Mine is in the oven, but some have a seperate broiler.

older stoves (15 yrs old) are in the drawer, i dont even remember those except when i was really little..... they are in the oven now!!!
