the marines... just because I think a lot of them; in my heart, they're the toughest branch that there is.

I know this is for the ladies but I'm going to get the freakin 2 pts anyways.... I was in the Marines and got married while in. I do not advise this. Branches of the Military have much higher divorce rates as the outside world. This is b/c of an old saying: When the cats away the mice will play! This means when you are serving your country in some freakin far away god forsakin land for the beautiful chance to make a difference in this world they are at home tossing the sheets. I've seen it way to many times! I've had to be the shoulder to a fellow marines and needed one as well. Take my advice! Wait until you get out, they issue you one, or don't get one right away! Not in your 20's for say!

Why would it matter what branch, only thing that matters is the fact that he loves you and you love him. As long as thats there nothing else should matter, and he should enjoy what he does without worrying about if the girl he loves will marry him becuase he is in the air force, army, or navy. its the point of love not what branch

the branch shouldnt matter. i was married to an army guy and now i am dating an army guy. (lol) the only things that sucks about being with an army guy is 15 month deployments. that is the longest deployment of all the branches.

I will get my navy uniform back from the closet, very handsome but hardly something that I can wear on the beach, the club or in the city.
Do women rely go for that?
Poor creatures.

ANYTHING BUT THE MARINE CORPS!!!!! I had a bf and he went into the Marine Corps and when he came back from BOOTCAMP.. he was changed, and then MCT.... OMG... It's like I didn't know him anymore. Found out he was cheating on me and everything fell apart. I had been dating him for 2 years prior to him leaving for the military and took 2 years of B.S. after he joined.

absent branch. I would never want to marry anyone who could ever get in a position that he would have to take someone's life.

Air Force. They generally have the nicest bases and are treated with the most respect. Navy also has a pretty good deal.

I think girls should be more concerned about what he IS in the military.
Should she date a marine Private First Class, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_First_Class
often immature, not ready, naive.
or should she date an Air Force Captain? http://www.airforce.com/careers/job.php?catg_id=1%E2%8A%82_catg_id=1&af_job_id=12
College degree, higher pay, more prestigious. the guy in the photo is actually a Major, like I dream of Jeannie's master.
