Me and my friends have to do an art project and we are making a giant ice cream sundae, but we cant figure out what to use to make something that would look like whipped cream.

A friend is a professional photographer, and he does mainly advertising work. I visited his studio one day and he was doing "ice cream" photographs. Naturally, he couldn't use real ice cream. Instead, he used shortening. For the flavours (such as strawberry), he used a bit of red food colouring. He also had some "whipped cream", which was shortening that had been put through a pastry bag (with a star nozzle). It seems to me that he added a bit of flour to take away some of the shine and to keep it a bit stiffer. But try that and see if it works for you.

When I was a little girl, we made "whip cream" with snowy laundry detergent! It cameout awesome! I doubt they have "Snowy" brand anymore but eny generic soap with no blue specs should do the trick. Just add water and beat with a mixer till you get the consistency you want.

Next best idea ( or maybe the best) is the one above me - shaving cream! :)

Shaving cream mixed with glue. If you're not allowed to use something like that, twist some wet tissue paper so that it looks like whipped cream.
