Just because you're able to reproduce does not mean you HAVE to!! No need to feel strange about it!

No, ofcourse not! Having children is a very personal decision, just because your friends plan to, dosn't mean you need to! Also, your mind might change as you get older. Maybe you'll want kids later, or maybe you still won't. Whatever you decide, its okay. I'm "supposed to", but i don't know if i want to even get married, or have kids! You should worry about the present, give the future consideration, but just go with the flow, lol. The time will come and your decision is your decision. What ever you decide is fine!
=)

I'm 36 and married for 12 years. My husband and I talked about it even before we got engaged and realised neither of us wanted children. So, we havent had any. I also have an Aunt and Uncle who are the same.
Its not odd, not these days. In fact its probably more common than you imagine!
All I say is that you have to make sure your wishes are the same as the partner you decide you want to share the rest of your life with. There may be conflict otherwise.

when my husband and i were first dating we were set on the belief that we werent going to get married or have kids but weve been together for about 7years and married for 3 of them.
so far we havent had any but have talked about having children. we've decided that one child wouldnt be so bad.
but waiting until we get a house of our own and hopefully college outta the way.
its funny how things become different.
im not saying that you will change when you get older and marry. but you never know.

Honey, your friends won't be the ones raising your kids if you have them, you will. You do what's best for you.
I love children, but I am not ready for the responsibility that goes along with them. I like having my space and I love to travel. However, I know I won't be able to do much of that at all with children in the picture.
Keep in mind that everyone isn't meant for children, maybe your friends are.

Do not feel strange about that at all. I personally never wanted any but I have two. There are a lot of women that have never had children- by choice. If that is what you want be sure that is something that your hubby will want too.

oh not tryin to be weird by comparing kids with dogs but it's kinda the same thing.....some people like dogs cuz there cute and fun but they are also a lot of work...it's the same way with kids....not everyone wants em just depends who you are.....i'm actually not sure that i want kids either as a matter of fact....might be easier with out em.....and less painful...lol.....what im tryin to say is that you dont need to worry about it it's normal and like the others said you might change your mind eventually.....or maybe you wont change your mind but it's your choice and your life and a few less people havin babies in the world wont make much difference and might help.....btw if you later on deside you want kids you should consider adoption....imagine bein one of those kids without a home......you could really help out......
srry i wrote like a butt load of stuff but dont worry about not wanting kids...it's normal....
xoxoxo luv ya!

I think it is very normal. People may not want kids for a variety of reasons. When the right time comes and you are able to take care of that responsibility your desire to have children may become surprisingly intense. It did for me, but not before I was 30 yrs. old. Being there for the birth of my daughter was the best experience of my life.

Well, if you look around you, at the way things are going, and how many people stay together without marrying, drugs, crime etc., can you be blamed ?
You might change your mind later though..big work raising kids well these days....

A lot of people never have kids.
Some people have kids and say it was a big
mistake.
And some people should never be parents.

It's not the usual but it doesn't make you defective or anything. If you were to ask your friends *why* they want to have kids they probably couldn't explain satisfactorily. It's just something they want. Not everyone feels the same way, and that's OK.
