No and no...you spelled obese correctly, but I don't believe. I know a girl of less than your height who was 160 pounds, but she was a track star and had a really sleek form. It's not about how much you weigh, it's about the content of your body. If you are concerned about your health or physical appearance, you are just like every other girl in America, Europe, or Australia (wherever you may be from). I know a few very simple habits you can start if you feel your body mass index is not what it should be. Feel free to email me if you'd like to know. God bless.

you are not obese, but you are overweight. Alter your eating style now before you get to be obese. At 5'6" you should weigh about 130 lbs give or take five pounds.

No. (And you spelled it right.)

You don't say if you are a girl or a guy.

"Obese" means REALLY big. Here are two great, factual websites---one that tells you how much you should weigh and the other that tells you all about obesity:

No - not likely. At your age I was 6'3" and around 400 - that was obese.

First, be healthy, research and find out what you should be eating calorie wise. Then, answer this "what is your goal physique?". If you are not happy with your body how it is, do everything within your power (while obeying first recommendation above) to get yourself to that goal.

Your bmi is only slightly over the normal range scale but bmi is not very trustworthy if you are muscular it will say you are overweight though you are really not because muscle weights more than fat.
