Well I am making a container that will portect an egg that is dropping a 5 meter drop. No packaging materials like bubble wrap, styrofoam and peanuts etc...
No parachutes.

This is true and awesome, I saw it done many many years ago.
Fashion a paper cone out of a largish sheet of bond paper by rolling it and taping. Sorta like a dunce hat but smaller.

Place the egg in the cone with the air sac towards the open end. Your egg should be in the front 1/3 of the cone.

That's it, when you drop it the cone will come down point first. When it hits the ground the point will crunch up and absorb the shock.

You might have to play with it a bit but this is a winning design.
