Every group has secrets.

I know one church that had some terrible things go on, a pastor had an affair with the church secretary, all kinds of things happened.

Of course these are not kept secret it is just that everyone is polite and does not talk about such things.

Yeah, I get that.

None of these organizations you ask about are secret, because, if they were secret you wouldn't know about them and you wouldn't be posting about them on YA!

PS: Masonry has secrets? Go to the local book store and pick up a copy of Duncan's Ritual. It is still in print. It is all the so called "secret" rituals of Masonry.

The Mormon faith is only secret to those that have not put forth any effort to learn about it; so your question is just a sign of your ignorance regarding the topic. Additionaly, it is not a society like the aforementioned skull and bones, and masionic societies, it is in fact a mainstream Christian religion with over 13 million members. A little research into your questions before posting would do you a lot of good.

Every possible secret of Free-Masonry is in print and all over the web. Yet there has been no new ones invented. Skull & Bones have not changed except for allowing women.

Oh, the LDS thingy - ?? Laughable.

I didn't know LDS was a secret society. As for the skull and bones and the Masons are concerned there existence has been exposed, they retain most of their secrets. I think we know about them as much as they want us to and no more.

Don't know about the Skulls.

LDS and Masons are not secret so nothing can be exposed...even if it could, and were, nothing new would be invented --- no need.

call me crazy, but i think despite everything that is out there on the net, only a member could know what is real or not. to everyone else just researching, there are way to many conflicting statements to possibly know whats real or not. its real easy to hide a stone in a rock wall. I can't speak for the others but the Masons remain unchanged.

How long have the Mormons been a secret society?

2007-12-11 17:33:14 · answer #8 · answered by Anonymous · 3 2

Possibly.

Take my college. They had a secret group of women who would dress in black robes and moan in really strange voices whenever it rained. Apparently they didn't like it when any campus member walked near them -- we never found out who they were!

No, they just claim to be misunderstood. Mormons haven't made any new secret rituals for a long time, for example.
