Well I am also a June Bride 6/7/08 is the date and I will be ordering mine invites beginning of January! So invites take longer than other to get in. Plus you have folding, map making, RSVP cards, and checking weight and size when it all put together. To see if will cost extra postage.

Plus I am sending my "out of townees" invites two months before the wedding. So they have enough time to make plans book flights or to decline. So I can send out invites to my "B" Lister and they will never know there "B" Lister's!

Call your vendor and see how long it will take to get them in and order accordingly! Best wishes in all your planning!

I am getting married June 28th, and I already have my invitations. My wedding planner said to go ahead and order them. She said you never know- what if you get them and they have a mistake or typo? She said that happens quite often! You want to get them in enough time to where you can send them back if you have to! Also, she said to send them out two months before and have RSVP's one month in advance. Besides, it doesnt hurt to get them early, the worst thing that can happen is that they sit in the boxes for a few months! Also, it will prevent you from having to sit down and address them all at once. You can do a few at a time whenever you have some down time.

Whenever they go on sale!

I was on a tight budget so when my items went on sale, I ordered them--no matter how many months in advance. That also gave me plenty of time to get them addressed without being rushed at the last minute b/c I had to mail them out.

I ordered my table cameras and my invites months and months in advance. After all, there is no reason why not to go ahead--you know those are the invites you want and you aren't going to change your mind.

Also, say it takes 3-6 weeks to get to you. You don't want to be in the situation where 3 is great but 6 stresses you out!

Order your invitations no later than the end of January. This gives it time to reach (in case there are delays) if it was shipped out.

Mail out by February & you need to have them no later than Mid April which would be 6 weeks (the max is 8 weeks) before the wedding to plan the seating and any other food requests (allergies, vegetarian meals, etc.)

Good luck!

We are getting married in June and I am planning on getting them in February, then mailing them out at the end of March. We have to have a total head count by the 8th of May (one month before), so I want to make sure we have plenty of time for people to respond. Good luck!

That is something you would want to check with the place you are ordering your invites from. Some invitations take longer than others to come in. I sent my invites out a month and a half before my wedding. This is typical to give your guests time to plan, resend back, and to give you time to make your seating charts. I think the store I checked with (didn't order from) told me that I would want to order them three months in advance from the time I want to send them out. This way it gives you time just incase something is wrong with them. Good luck and best wishes.

I am getting married next November but since I already have everything booked and ready to go I am ordering them in March. That way I have time to get addresses together and send them out. :0)

You should order your invitations about one month before they need to be sent out. You should send them out about six to eight weeks before the RSVP is due back to you.

The turnaround time for the invitations that I sell is about 2 business weeks, oftentimes faster.

I'd say January or February. You want to send them 2 months in advance, which would put you in April...and you want to order them at least 2 months prior to sending them out. All companies are different and most likely have different shipping times... and you always want to be prepared for any problems that may arise! (Which happened to me, my husband's name was spelled wrong! We had to reorder and wait another week or so...)

As soon as possible, so you have plenty of time to address them and ge them out the door. No later than January, so that you have plenty of time to deal with problems, should they arise.

I found that it was best to do things as soon as I decided on what I wanted. The more you do early, the better off you will be!

Good luck!
