I saw a show on him the other day. He is a mess IMO. What do you think, Jews?

Shrug. Don't care much either way. I like his movies, not so much his views...I don't know if I would call him anti-Semite (his faith is based on an anti-Semitic book, but so is the faith of billions of other people) but I'm not sure he's doesn't harbor any bigoted ideas whatsoever. His father is blatantly anti-Semitic, and M. Gibson has never spoken against the things his father says. So, mixed feelings. I'm not going to go boycotting his movies or anything. Besides, he apologized and seemed sincere.

He grew up in an environment in which anti-semitism was common. Mr. Gibson, however, except for one drunken tirade, has never exhibited any anti-semitic tendencies according to those who live and work with him on a daily basis.

He is, arguably, a fine actor and director. I, personally, have enjoyed many of his performances and would not hesitate to attend another if the subject matter interested me.

All in all, it would be best if everyone could just let Mr. Gibson off the hook on this one. He has profusely apologized and voluntarily sought counselling to understand where these aberrant thoughts arose. If Mr. Gibson walked into my synagogue, I would be the first to welcome him and offer him every hospitality.

If it weren't for Jews, Mel would still be in Australia. They are the ones who produced his movies. He is just biting the hand that has fed him. He is a jealous, narrow minded, judgemental hypocrite. I would have more respect for him if he admitted that his "outburst" was really the way he felt, instead of apologizing and using alcohol as an excuse to not mean what we say.

Unfortunately, the Gospels of the New Testament are full of language which is clearly anti-Judaism.

Mel Gibson made the decision to make two movies about it.

Mel Gibson could have made two Judaism-friendly movies but he chose not to.

The local Jerusalem politicians killed Jesus, not the Jews.

Jesus was viewed as being a liberal Jew by Judaism.

Jesus was another King David which the local politicians didn't want to see.

Straight-up anti-Semite. If his drunken tirade wasn't enough, just look at how he depicts Jewish people in 'the Passion of the Christ'. Also, most of his films are strongly anti-England for some unfathomable reason, which doesn't endear me to him.

He is just another believer.

His faith causes him to have some incorrect assumptions about other religious people, just like all people with faith experience.
