How did you overcome it, i would appreciate any reccomendations for support groups or any groups.

it has been 2 years and i still feel angry

Yes, I have, too. I felt angry and depressed for a long time, but never really talked about it, except mention it briefly to some people.

But I would try to find another therapist. Talk to some professional that you trust and ask for a referral to another therapist that you can talk to about this abusive experience. It's awful when a professional (that you're supposed to be able to trust) has violates your trust. But there are unprofessional "professionals" out there that should not be practicing. Report him or her.

When you say "therapy abuse" what exactly do you mean?

Are you speaking of your therapist sexually abusing you? If so, that person needs to be reported to the board and their license will be revoked.

As far as groups, I think any group that focuses on whatever was done, would be the way to go.

Sorry that happened to you, I hope you understand it is a small number of people in the helping field that do things like that. They make it difficult for the professionals that work hard at helping others.

i am not exactly sure what u mean...i did have a therapist one time that told me i was a liar..i had went in as a crisis case & was sucidal...before i left i was homicidal !...i never seen that guy again & later my psychiatrist also apologized after speaking to my mother...they thought i had a drug problem which wasn't the case, i had some pills stole from me...get a lawyer...& far as counseling the one i am seeing now isn't the greatest shes sweet, but i still ain't made no headway...good luck 2 u

Aww.. Which kind of abuse did he do the in the process of therapy abuse? Maybe you could explain to your lawyer in more details then he could find a law that covers that abuse.
